If you need to adjust your vintage Fender type truss rod with access at the heel or change the battery in your acoustic/electric guitar this tip will help keep your strings in place and make the job alot easier. First thing to do is loosen the strings so they are slack and do not produce a note. Next take a capo and put around the 5th fret. Now you can take the neck off your vintage type Fender to gain access to the adjustment at the heel. This also works great for acoustic guitars when you want to change the battery mounted inside the guitar’s body. The capo keeps the strings from unraveling off the tuner posts and also keeps them in the nut slot. Now you can make adjustments or change a battery with ease!
