Now available are my new custom built Penn Instrument Company guitars! I’ve been playing T style guitars for about 30 years and building them for myself and occasionally for customers for about 25 years. It is my favorite guitar design. My model based on the classic T guitar with two basic versions: VT-M (Vintage T Maple neck) and VT-R (Vintage T Rosewood fret board) Features will include: Ash or Alder wood body with choice of nitrocellulose color finish. Either flat sawn 1-piece maple neck or flat sawn maple neck with curved veneer rosewood fret board both featuring a straight 10″ radius and single acting truss rod adjustable at the heel. The neck is finished in gun stock oil with frets measuring .095″ wide x .047″ tall and hand cut bone nut. Vintage type single coil pickups with bridge pickup mounting to a ferrous steel bridge plate with 3 brass barrel saddles. Kluson vintage type tuners. RS potentiometers and .047uf capacitor. As a standard part of the build process I will hand contour the neck to each players request. This ensures a perfect fit for each player! I will also be offering many options and upgrades such as different pickup configurations, neck roasting, quarter sawn necks, body binding, etc. This will be YOUR guitar so you can pick and choose the way YOU want it!! Standard VT models as described above are $1949.00 with Gator tweed hard case.
My personal prototype VT-M has been performing perfectly and the first production guitar will be built within the next 2 weeks. Photos and details will be posted as well. I am now accepting orders. Please contact me: firstname.lastname@example.org.
