For some reason the finish on this 2003 Gibson Les Paul was flaking off the face of the headstock. The rest of the finish on the guitar was 100% intact and in pretty good shape. The owner did not like the rough looking headstock vs the good looking body and neck of the guitar. I removed the finish from the face of the headstock and refinished it with nitrocellulose lacquer. Now the headstock matches the rest of the guitar.
Above is the stripped and prepped headstock.
All refinished and looking clean!!!
