This is a Vox Cambridge Reverb amp chassis. There were so many things wrong with this amp that I had to gut out a lot of components. I’m sure there was someone with minimal experience trying to “fix” what was wrong. There were many bad solder joints, wrong component values, extra components soldered in places that made no sense at all. With a project like this I usually print out the schematic, trace the circuit and mark it with a highlighter marker. I make the necessary changes to the circuit as I go along as well. In the end the circuit matches the schematic the way the manufacturer intended the model to be. This photo shows the process about 85% complete. Unfortunately this amp needs a new power transformer. I will make a post when the amp is 100% complete. It should sound good with a nice new Celestion Heritage G10M speaker…..stay tuned.
