I tried both the Reignmaker at the 2010 Winter NAMM show and I have to say that it sounded awesome and the attenuation was excellent. The feel of the speaker was really nice as well.
This new line of Eminence speakers will be great for players that have loud amps and want to tame the volume without using a master volume or attenuator.
The stove-top looking knob on the back of the speaker’s magnet actually adjusts the magnetic flux of the speaker. By doing this there is about 9dB of attenuation available to suit different rooms that players may encounter.
I am affiliated with Eminence speakers and will have them available for order as soon as I get the word. I for one am very excited because many players that I talk to do not want to use attenuators with their amps for many reasons. A few of them include that an attenuator can change the sound and feel of an amp in a negative way and it’s just another piece of gear to set up (and possibly have trouble with). Please stay tuned and feel free to hit me up if you have any questions in the meanwhile…!
