Rickenbacker Guitar Value Going Strong!

According to my friend Jim Pasch over at The Parts Drawer the value of Rickenbacker guitars is going strong in this wacky economy. It seems that the marketing play that the folks over at Rickenbacker are pulling is one of supply and demand along with keeping quality high. Sounds like a good business model to me, especially on the high quality part. My man Jim who has been in the guitar biz for over 30+ years also commented that parts for Rickenbacker guitars command a premium price due to the fact that the company does not sell parts to the public very easily and about one of the only places you can get them is from Pick of the Ricks here in NJ. Thanks Jim, now I want to buy a Rickenbacker………..!

I’ve located a Rickenbacker 340/12string, Mapleglo finish. It has never even been plugged into an amp. Price tag still on it. Serial number I77783. Serial# means it was manufactured in September 1994. I need to know what it’s worth. Would really appreciate you help. Thanks, Patrick

Hi Patrick- I would think that the value is around $2k give or take. You should contact Jim at the Parts Drawer at the link in this post. He would know better and have a more accurate figure. -Billy
