How To Relic Guitar Pickup Polepieces

Here is a video demonstration of the method I use to age or “relic” guitar pickup polepieces. It’s easy and takes just a few minutes to make your current production pickup with nice, shiny polepieces look 40 years old! This works the best on alnico magnets. Another trick I like to make the pickup look aged (especially a Tele bridge pickup) is to carefully take the pickup and put it in a vacuum cleaner bag. Work it around a bit and then take it out. The fine dust and lint will add to the aged vibe. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Have fun!
